Today is Groundhog Day!

On this day every year Punxsutawney Phil lets the world know if spring will be early or winter will be long.  Check out the website of the Punxsutawney Groundhog Club to find out more about this annual tradition.

They also have a link to a video of Phil's 2011 prediction but I had trouble with it in Chrome.  Your mileage may vary.

Bubble Wrap Appreciation Day

What’s the first thing many people hear when they receive a package in the mail? “Give me that box!” What’s the deal? Someone wants the bubble wrap. ;) Beyond its obvious use as packing, Bubble Wrap can come in handy in many situations. For instance, it can be a great stress reliever, unless you are sick of hearing all the pops, in which case you need your own sheet (or roll.) If you’ve ever had a sheet of Bubble Wrap to save a shipped item or your sanity, you may want to jot Bubble Wrap Appreciation Day (Jan 31 – the last Monday) on your calendar.
Here are a few cool places where you can learn more about Bubble Wrap and even play games!
